Make plans now to attend the EGLR – WGLR Joint Summer 2012 Meeting at the Michigan Tech Research Institute (MTRI) , located on the northeast side of Ann Arbor, Michigan. The day-long meeting and evening social event takes place on Friday, June 22nd, starting at 9:30am.

We will be having presentations by ASPRS members, industry representatives, and a project demonstration to cover technologies such as LiDAR, imagery, radar, and close-range photogrammetry – and this will be a great chance to get to know your fellow ASPRS members better. The overall theme of the meeting is “Using Multiple Data Sources to Enhance Geospatial Understanding.

Final Announcement is at this link including presentation details about our invited speakers from Continental Mapping Consultants, GeoEye, All Point Systems, BAE Systems, Keystone Aerial Surveys and MTRI. You will have an opportunity to see a demonstration about a MTRI project involving a helicopter UAV.

We will be rounding out the day with an evening social in the Tap Room at the Arbor Brewing Company.

June is a great time to visit southeast Michigan!…..and to attend this exciting and interesting ASPRS regional meeting event. For more information, please contact the meeting organizer, EGLR member Colin Brooks of MTRI at colin.brooks@mtu.edu. RSVP information is provided in the final announcement.
